OREILLY'S CHALLENGE FOR OUR NATION'S RELIGIOUS LEADERS

by Aimee Herd

"I think all Christians, Jews and secularists who love their country and want to protect humanity, should email and call the White House, and say, 'Enough.'" –Bill O'Reilly

During an interview with Pastor Robert Jeffress and Father Gerald Murray, Fox News' Opinion-Host, Bill O'Reilly issued a direct challenge for all religious leaders in America, to "address [the problem of ISIS] with their congregations next Friday, Saturday and Sunday."

"They have to say that 'we people of good faith must tell our leaders to get in gear,'" said O'Reilly.

Pastor Robert Jeffress, of the Dallas First Baptist Church stated, "I believe… that things are going to get worse before the Lord comes back, but that is no excuse for 'fatalism.' I believe that Christians should be on the forefront of fighting this evil."

Pastor Jeffress added, "I am calling on Christians everywhere—Catholics and Protestants together—to join with our Jewish friends, and demand that this president do whatever is necessary… to eradicate this cancer of ISIS… before it destroys us."

"I think that's a good idea," O'Reilly said. "I think all Christians, Jews and secularists who love their country and want to protect humanity, should email and call the White House, and say, 'Enough.'"

He went on, "And I'd like every pastor, priest, every rabbi and every imam, to email me personally and tell me you're going to do that, and I'll read as many on the air as I can."
